A creative way to save and preserve your treasures is through Scrapbooking. You can place your photographs, newspaper clippings, poems, and tickets into your scrapbook to display and

preserve your memories. These days Scrapbooking have gradually evolved and there are new items that can be used to decorate it.

Your own unique embellishments can add a special personal touch to your scrapbook pages. It can be used as the main focus of your page, to highlight items, or as borders. Below are 20 best items that can be used:

1. Stickers.

Stickers are fun and easy to stick to scrapbook pages and can be used for captions, thought bubbles or even to hide mistakes. It is recommended to add stickers that are related to your theme or have a personal significance for you so that it can represent a specific experience or hobby.

2. Ribbons and Lace

Can be considered a common border embellishment but it can always add beauty and elegance because of the flowing nature of both materials encourages a touch of softness and elegance.

3. Embroidery Cotton

There is one ultimate intention for the creation of a scrapbook. It should be borne in mind that at almost everyday of our lives; we are faced with one or two experiences that we will want to live with. This is the more reason why the art of scrapbook making is today being considered by almost every person. Through the art of making scrapbooks, it has been realized that people are able to keep memories and be able to experience them again at every point in their lives.

One thing about these memorable events is that it should be able to be evocative of something remarkable, or something you think it is impossible to live without. This is why we talk of themes in the process of making scrapbooks. You may fail to come up with a theme for your scrapbook. These are some features to help you know why people are mad about making scrapbooks:

The Birth of a Child

This should be something good for you. Keep in mind that being able to be pregnant and actually putting forth that baby is something wonderful, and something which every person will want to experience over and over again. One thing about reliving this experience does not mean you will have to be pregnant now and then. You can simply relive this experience either in person or through your child by creating memories of this event and putting them in a scrapbook. In most cases, people are so obsessed into this that they will want to replicate every feature of the pregnancy, starting from every test right up to the moment of giving birth to the baby. There are still others who will want to relive every moment by including the birth of the child and every other feature of the child’s life till he or she experiences the first birthday.

Marriages

Although you will have someone take pictures of your wedding day, it is still possible to create a scrapbook and include all events that even came before the marriage. These may be blended with some of the marriage pictures. There are so many events that you can take note of. Think about your moments of dating together or consider those preparatory moments leading to the wedding. Even after the wedding, you can still include memorable events such as those you had together at your honeymoon. Remember that this scrapbook is not going to be the same as the wedding album. Most of what will be added into it will be memories or happenings different from what took place on the day of your wedding.

High School Days

A lot of young stars will find high school life one of the most memorable. They will therefore do everything possible to make sure that they replicate every memorable event experienced in those high school days in scrapbooks. There are so many high school events that you can include in the scrapbook. Keep in mind that high school days are one of those in which much about the life of a young person would be greatly exploited.

Producing scrapbooks is not only about making great creations out of your treasured pictures. It is also about keeping the memories held by those images. But of course, the attractive designs of scrapbooks do make looking at those pictures enjoyable and a real journey down the memory lane; so, might as well do the best out of scrapbooking. How? Consider the information below.

Before spending your time and effort on doing designs, invest on the “life” of your scrapbooks first: captions. To make preservation of memories with scrapbooks more meaningful, you have to write captions in each image. Write the date the picture was taken, the occasion or event, the name of the person or names of the persons in the picture, and, more importantly, a short note that best describes the picture. Make not a formal description for each image, but rather a wacky one to make reading more pleasurable.

If you think insertion of captions in the pictures is already a hard task, buy ready-to-use scrapbooks in book stores and gift shops to make scrapbooking easier the next step. But, if you like more personalized scrapbooks, go buy sketch pads, notebooks or any similar item. Because this will require your creativity, be ready for it.

Next thing you will do is to shop for scrapbook accessories, also in book stores and gift shops or, again, you can make your own. You can use different colors of ribbons, papers, paper clips, crayons, and any material you think you can use as decorations. Again, your creativity is required here so be prepared.

Organize your pictures by grouping them according to occasions or events. Or, you may opt to do scrapbooks according to friends (for instance, high school friends has a different scrapbook from your college friends), immediate family, relatives, and, relationships (boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband). To become unique, have an extra page after each group of pictures. On these extra pages, make people write personal notes about the images where they are included.

Because you have been familiar with your decorations and captions, you may not be able to appreciate them fully. What you will do is to keep them first and open them weeks or months later. It is only then that you will realize the beauty of your scrapbooks. It is only then that you will realize how you have preserved your memories out of these scrapbooks. But, if you like an instant feedback, ask a friend or a sibling to look for the scrapbooks and express his or her first impression.

Young people today are engage in making scrapbooks rather than buying photo albums. So, do not think twice. Get out of your way to choose the pictures that you will include in your scrapbooks and to buy materials that you will use to make them. No amount of money can equal the amount of enjoyment you will feel once you have successfully made these scrapbooks. You will also feel the pride in you because you will be able to preserve your memories properly and with pure beauty.

You may have heard of simple scrapbooking and may even have an idea about it. However, what is simple scrap booking and what exactly are the components that give it this name?

A simple scrapbook does not rely on chronological events and doesn’t focus on the normal family traditions, hopes, dreams and daily routines. It is something outside these traditional album things and is more manageable. It focuses mainly on the sidelights and smaller details that are usually shadowed by other bigger things. The scrapbook stores memories of bigger things, where the simple scrapbook stores the situations, the things that happened before and after a picture was taken.

Five items that aptly describe a simple scrapbook are Fast, Finished, Format, Freedom and Framework.

Freedom: In making a simple scrap book, the liberty given to the creator for making the events included in the scrapbook simpler is called freedom. The freedom given to him or her to explore the use of things that are not traditional, other aspects and memories of life, and also for capturing the things that cannot be seen in a normal scrapbook and last but not the least, the freedom to create a scrapbook that exactly fits his or her ideas.

Format: It describes the uniqueness of the scrap book from the rest. Each scrapbook, in some way, follows a format. In other words, a simple scrapbook will have contents and size of the normal scrapbook, however, has a completely different approach, which makes it stand out from the rest.

It sets a scheme of colors and the theme of the scrapbook. The designs and colors used may be of the same components which will make a simple scrapbook a piece of art work. Also, the arrangement of elements will make a large impact on the total image of the scrap book.

Framework: It is a characteristic of a simple scrap book which is completely unique. It is defined a bunch of pages, including contents and title, introduction or dedication page, filler pages, section page, closing page and the material file which will show the overall structure and design of the scrapbook. Mostly, the first thing defined will determine the flow of other elements in the scrapbook and album. In simple words, the framework is the foundation and blueprint of the album.

An other characteristic is that once started, a simple scrapbook will indeed be finished, unlike the usual album that once started may be abandoned easily before completion in the chronological order. Things like inavailability of space will reduce the enthusiasm and finally the album will be abandoned. However, in a simple scrap book you can give yourself assurance that after starting, you will indeed finish it. The reason is that you will be working on a particular framework which is made specifically so that it can be completed. As you’re working on such a frame, you will know how much you can use it and the number of pages that will be used for it. After fulfilling this, you will almost be done with your album.

The time taken for the creation of a chronological scrapbook is very high and it may be left unfinished too. A simple scrap book is different. It can be completed as soon as it is started and it is less time consuming. This is also the result of following a framework. Strictly speaking, once the framework is done, you are finished with the album to about ninety percent.

If you have set your mind on creating a simple scrapbook, you ought to do three things.

Primarily, you must identify the purpose of your scrapbook. Ask yourself the question,
Why is this being done by me and what emotions are going to be included in the album?

Then, create the format of your scrapbook. Determine the album’s size and theme that will be used. Organize your ideas and then put them on the paper and finally create the framework.

Finally, prepare the materials that will be used.

Once all these are done, you will be able to easily create your simple scrap book and fulfill your dreams.

I am a big fan of Harry Potter series, I usually do not add more comments to Harry Potter movies. This one I’d give it an 8 out of 10. For series, wow, it’s an epic. For J.K.Rowling, movies and books are all her kids. For the kids in these series, it’s a journey, and they are so lucky. And for me, I’ve known them since they were kids. For more information about how to make wallpapers by using Harry Potter pictures: http://make-photo-gallery-on-mac.blogspot.com/ From the very beginning, I like to collect Harry Potter pictures and make these pictures to be stunning wallpapers, scrapbooks. It’s very cool. Well, I make these on mac, so look very good.:) That scrapbook, I use a blank template to edit it. I have added frame on it, and added some little decorations. The card was made in a blank template, too, I put mask on those two pictures. The wallpapers, I just took templates I like and drag photos into it, so the templates are beautiful which made my wallpapers out stunning as well. I can make wallpapers on mac more beautiful here. Cuz in this photo editing software, I can adjust effects, lightness, contract, hue, etc. and put mask, add text, put shadow on the frames. There are a lot of templates for making wallpapers, scrapbooks, cards, CD covers, cute baby pictures. This one is wallpaper: iCollage for mac-make wallpaper,scrapbook on mac.

If you have made very many scrapbooks, you know how costly albums can be to purchase. This cost is all too apparent if you are making scrapbooks that are designed to be given away as gifts or if you are one of those prolific scrapbookers with dozens or even hundreds of scrapbooks. However, there is an alternative to expensive albums when binding your scrapbooks. You can use spiral coil (also called color coil).

One of the best things about spiral coil is that it is available in almost any length and color imaginable. Currently, spiral coil is available in more than 64 stock colors. No matter what color scheme that you choose for your scrapbook, there is most likely a color available that will match. Recently a number of new colors of spiral coil were released including: Charcoal, Electric Blue, Magenta, Fluorescent Green, Dark Purple, Fluorescent Pink, Fluorescent Orange, Burnt Orange, Spiral Blue, Plum, Neon Green, Pearl, Goldenrod, Light Teal, Lilac, Process Blue, Copper and Tangerine. Using the different colors available on the market, you can give almost any scrapbook its own customized appearance.

Spiral Coil also lends itself extremely well to scrapbooking since you can buy coils in almost any size or length imaginable. Color coil is available in sizes as small as 6mm (1/4”) and as large as 50mm (2”) however it works best in sizes up to 1” (25mm). Coil can also be ordered in almost any length up to 36” long and can be easily cut to the correct length if needed. This flexibility makes it possible to bind almost any size of scrapbook including 12” x 12” , 8” x 8” and 8.5” x 11” albums.

Traditionally, the equipment to punch holes for spiral coil binding has been too expensive for the home market. However, there are now a few different coil binding machines that are affordable for doing scrapbooking and creating memory books. For 11” x 8.5” albums, GBC (General Binding Corporation) recently introduced a new binding punch called the ProClick P50. The ProClick P50 costs about and can be used in conjunction with 3:1 pitch spiral coil for an extremely economical coil binding solution.

For individuals who are looking to bind scrapbooks with a binding edge shorter or longer than 11” the PC200 plastic coil binding machine is ideal. The PC200 coil binding machine costs approximately 0 and has 46 disengageable punch pins allowing you to bind documents as short as 1 inch long and as long as 21 inches long (using the open throat design). This machine uses 4:1 pitch color coil which is more readily available and slightly cheaper than 3:1 pitch coil. Using the PC200 you can bind dozens or even hundreds of scrapbooks without difficulty.
